These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of our macOS applications ("the Software"), including Renamely and Pagehound, offered under the brand name Novetool and operated by Jie Bai, an individual / sole proprietor located at Room 11, Unit 6, Building 3, No. 54 Compound, Datong Road, Xinghualing District, Taiyuan, Shanxi 030000, China ("we", "us", "our", "Novetool").
1. Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Creem. Creem is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Creem provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
All payments are processed by Creem, and the charge on your payment statement will appear from Creem. For billing and payment support, contact Creem at creem.io.
2. The Products
Novetool develops native utility applications for macOS. These Terms cover the following products.
Renamely is a desktop application for macOS that helps users batch rename files. The free version includes the core renaming features with no file-count limit, no time limit, and no signup. A one-time purchase of Renamely Pro unlocks unlimited batch renaming and other Pro features for the current major version. Renamely Pro is priced at USD $14.99, available both on the Mac App Store (tied to your Apple ID, with Family Sharing) and directly from novetool.com via Creem (one license for up to 3 Macs, self-service unbinding).
Pagehound is a desktop application for macOS that converts scanned PDFs and images into searchable PDFs by writing a text layer into the file. The free version processes single documents, up to the first 5 pages per document, at full recognition quality. A one-time purchase of Pagehound Pro unlocks unlimited pages, batch processing, scan correction, custom vocabulary, and watch-folder automation for the current major version. Pagehound Pro is priced at USD $39.99, available both on the Mac App Store (tied to your Apple ID, with Family Sharing) and directly from novetool.com via Creem (one license for up to 3 Macs, self-service unbinding).
All purchases are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. You are not charged automatically on a recurring basis. A license includes all updates within the product's current major version; a future major version would be offered as a separate product with upgrade pricing for existing customers.
3. System Requirements
The Software requires a Mac running macOS. Renamely requires macOS 12 Monterey or later; Pagehound requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Please confirm compatibility with your system before purchasing.
4. License Grant
Upon successful payment, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Pro features of the Software on up to three (3) Apple computers that you own or control, in accordance with Apple's applicable usage rules.
You may not resell, redistribute, rent, lease, reverse engineer, or attempt to circumvent or disable the licensing of the Software. License keys are for personal use and may not be shared.
5. Delivery and Activation
After payment is confirmed, you will receive your license key by email with instructions to unlock the Pro features. Activating a key requires a one-time internet connection so the app can register your Mac (up to 3 Macs per license); once activated, the license is validated locally and the Software works offline. No online account is required. If you do not receive your license key within 24 hours, contact us at help@novetool.com.
Copies downloaded from the Mac App Store are tied to your Apple ID, require no separate activation, and are governed by Apple's standard terms in addition to these Terms.
6. Pricing and Taxes
Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and may include applicable sales tax, VAT, or similar levies collected and remitted by Creem as Merchant of Record. Pricing may change over time, but changes do not affect orders already completed.
7. Refunds
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. Refund eligibility and instructions are described in our Refund Policy. All refunds are handled by Creem.
8. Intellectual Property
The Software, including its design, icons, text, and code, is owned by Jie Bai (Novetool) and is protected by applicable copyright and other laws. Your purchase grants a license to use the Software; it does not transfer ownership.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Software is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every file or system configuration. You are responsible for backing up your files before renaming them.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including loss of data or files) arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Software. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software.
11. Privacy
Our data practices are described in our Privacy Policy. All file processing happens locally on your Mac. Checkout and payment data are processed by Creem under Creem's Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
